EXHAUST GAS SILENCERS

Exhaust silencers are acoustic attenuation devices designed to reduce the noise emission levels of internal combustion engine exhaust systems by using expansion chambers that combine resistive and reactive stages. For the design of the silencers, input variables such as gas flow and temperature, sound emission spectrum, required attenuation, maximum allowable back pressure, orientation and available space, etc. are considered.

  • Applications:
    • Exhaust gases from internal combustion engines (diesel generators, LPG, boat engines, etc.)
  • Range of dimensions:
    • Inlet / outlet duct diameter up to 24″.
  • Silencer dimensions according to the degree of attenuation and gas flow.
  • Overall performance (classification):
    • Industrial Grade (15 to 20 dBA)
    • Residential Grade (20 to 25 dBA)
    • Critical Grade (25 to 35 dBA)
    • Hospital Grade (35 to 45 dBA)

Materiality in accordance with required service life guidelines and technical requirements.

SPLITTER AND LOUVRE

The Splitter type silencer provides high sound attenuation and low pressure drop thanks to its own format and its aerodynamic sound-absorbing cells. The Louvre type silencer, commonly oriented to natural convection flows, has the advantage of allowing its installation in restricted spaces.

  • Applications:
    • Air blowers, cooling towers, chillers.
    • Industrial fans.
    • Air intake and discharge systems.
    • Ventilation openings: acoustic enclosures, electrical rooms, boiler room, machine room, pump room, etc.
  • Range of dimensions:
    • Splitter = Depths from 600 mm to 2400 mm according to requirements / Special dimensions according to technical requirements.
    • Louvre = Minimum depth 330 mm / Larger dimensions on request (special dimensions on request).
  • Overall performance:
    • Splitter: 15 – 45 dB.
    • Louvre: 10 – 20 dB.

VENT MUFFLER OR VENT SILENCER

Vent silencers are designed to reduce the noise generated by a steam vent or air release radiated into the atmosphere. The design depends on the requirements of the industrial installation (type of fluid, density, pressure, flow rate, temperature, outlet diameter).

Associated with noise generated by venting high pressure gases into the atmosphere.
    • Safety valves (boilers or similar) / Relief valves / Starting valves / Autoclaves.
    • Flash tanks / Steam ejectors / High pressure steam pipelines / General dispatching.
  • Performance: 15-50 dB

ACOUSTIC BARRIER

Acoustic barriers allow the attenuation of noise coming from a sound source by interrupting the propagation of sound, while at the same time absorbing sound reflections by means of their internal sound-absorbing coating. When it comes to environmental protection, they are generally installed outdoors, but there are also formats to be used inside industrial plants to protect the health of workers.

Acoustic steel panels or a composition of particleboard panels with surface treatment can be used for outdoor applications to increase their service life. One of its sides is covered with sound-absorbing material, which can be glass wool, mineral wool or polyester fiber, with a metal or perforated steel plate finish, depending on the requirements of each project. Foundations and supporting structures vary according to height and terrain. Generally, there is a concrete base and a supporting metal structure.

Our company has extensive experience in the design, construction and assembly of acoustic barriers up to 11 m high and extensions over 100 m, always considering the needs of our customers in terms of interfering as little as possible in the production, maintenance and cleaning processes.

ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURES

The acoustic enclosures are solutions that allow to reduce the sound pressure levels of any noise source, adapting to the most diverse problems, thanks to the design process tailored to the needs of our customers, customizing and optimizing its dimensions, materiality and format, incorporating, if necessary, silenced air renewal system, acoustic doors, removable panels, sanitary panels for food industry, etc., achieving an appropriate solution to the context of the workplace.

The definition of the solutions considers feedback with our clients to contemplate aspects associated with the operation, maintenance and/or cleaning of the equipment, in order not to interfere in the operational process, compliance with occupational health standards.

SOUNDPROOF BOOTH

Soundproof booths reduce occupational noise exposure levels of personnel, when for technical reasons of operation or due to large dimensions it is not feasible to carry out control measures directly at the sources. These can be implemented to operate noisy machines and/or to generate spaces for protection and rest from noise exposure, provided that the production process allows it. They have acoustic panels and doors and, according to requirements, can include ventilation systems, translucent surfaces and a design that allows mobility of the entire cabin.
